The bright sunlight coming through the buildings and trees created interest on the clothing of the figures walking on the street.
I first was inspired when in Cortona, Italy and created a small study which was quickly acquired by one of my students. It was used to create this larger work with many additional figures including my husband and I walking hand in hand and several friends.
