Join me and Mathieu from Provence Art Experience
for an immersive experience in the South of France,
where we step into landscapes that have inspired artists for generations.
Each warm season in France I am retired enjoying life and I love it.
Yet, I am happy to arrange for friends to come paint with me for fun.
The light is inspiring.
From the soft glow of morning light to the vibrant rhythm of village life,
each day is an opportunity to explore, observe, and
translate what you see into your own visual language.
We’ll spend our days painting on location—among secret lavender fields,
along winding streets with cafés and umbrellas, and overlooking the
expansive skies and distant hills that define this region.
Before we head to France, online you’ll be guided through your lessons.
Once there all of the details are thoughtfully arranged for you through Provence Art Experience.
From beautiful accommodations, our private chef to daily locations
you can stay focused on what matters most:

and the experience of being fully present in this extraordinary setting.
Why Your Experience Begins Before You Arrive
After years of teaching students both online and in the classroom I saw that
there are benefits to online learning. You watch a video, read the lesson, see examples and
have ample opportunity to review. You get it faster.
You’ll explore how to simplify the scene, work with the region’s luminous light, and
translate the nuanced violets and greens of lavender into a compelling color story.
Once in France, we gather informally before dinner most nights for a welcoming group critique.
It is designed to sharpen your vision while keeping the experience light, encouraging, and deeply inspiring.
You’ll have more time to relax as well.
